Nearly 50 hearty souls came to Kanawha State Forest on Saturday, March 14 to help raise funds for West Virginia students seeking to earn degrees from West Virginia colleges and universities!
Although the weather was anything but ideal, the participants smiled and cheered as they completed an 8k course that included everything from asphalt to gravel to rain soaked grass and even some mud on the trails of Kanawha State Forest. Ten runners managed to cross the finish line before the Leprechaun and earned the chance to win special door prizes. There were still plenty of prizes left for those that didn’t finish before the Leprechaun.
A great time was had by all and we thank everyone that participated and volunteered for this special event. Be watching this website for announcements about our 2016 event which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 12.
As a result of the Leprechaun Dash, nearly $1,500 was raised for scholarships!
