Fifth Annual Leprechaun Chase

Runners lined up on a sunny, crisp morning to participate in the 5th Annual Leprechaun Chase.  With temperatures in the upper 30’s, the trail was in great condition for the participants as they ran through the woods in St. Albans.

This year’s leprechaun was Matt Halstead.  With a 90 second head-start, the leprechaun led the field into the woods with the rest of the participants in hot pursuit as there were special door prizes for those who could pass the leprechaun on this rolling course that winds through the rugged trails at the St. Albans City Park.

The male winner of the challenging 5k course was Josh Holley with a time of 26:07.  The female winner was Silveria Graziano who completed the race in 39:47.

Congratulations to all the participants and thanks for helping us raise money for the Almost Heaven Scholarship Fund.  These proceeds will help deserving West Virginia high school graduates attend college next fall in the Mountain State.

Join us on July 20, 2019 for the Almost Heaven 7(k) for another challenging event.  Additional information is available at www.aptiming.com.
