Nearly 50 participants gathered at Kanawha State Forest on Saturday, March 12 for the 2nd Annual Leprechaun Dash. The race is a fundraiser for the Almost Heaven Scholarship Fund.
The event is an 8k road and trail run through Kanawha State Forest. At 9:00 a.m., Tim Mayo, the Dash’s speedy Leprechaun, took off. One minute later, the field left the starting line in hot pursuit. Eighteen racers overcame the antics of the Leprechaun and finished before him. These runners were entered into a special drawing for gift cards from Roberts Running Shop and Chili’s. The remaining runners also had an opportunity for other awards and prizes.

Thanks to all the participants and volunteers that made this Leprechaun Dash a very special day. The event raised nearly $800 for the Almost Heaven Scholarship Fund.
